These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Solonic ("we," "us," "our") and its services available at solonic.ai. By using Solonic, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Solonic Provides
Solonic provides automated assessment reports for academic papers ("Reports"). Reports are generated using AI-assisted analysis and delivered to you following submission of your paper ("Submission").
2. Reports Are Advisory
Reports do not guarantee publication. A Report represents our best assessment of a paper's quality based on our methodology. It reflects the paper's likely reception under peer review — not a prediction of any specific editorial outcome.
Solonic has no relationship with any journal, publisher, or conference. Editorial decisions are made independently by those organizations. We bear no responsibility for how any editor, reviewer, or program committee evaluates your work.
You should treat a Report as a structured second opinion — useful input, not a guarantee.
3. Paper Processing and Privacy
We process your Submission to generate your Report. We do not retain your paper permanently.
- Papers are processed through AI models to generate scores and analysis
- Submissions are deleted from our systems after your Report is delivered
- We do not sell, license, or share your Submission with third parties
- We do not use your Submission to train AI models

4. Refund Policy
If your Report is not delivered within 24 hours of a confirmed, paid Submission, you are entitled to a full refund. No questions asked.

Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
We do not offer refunds based on disagreement with the Report's conclusions or scores.
5. Your Responsibilities
You represent that:
- You have the right to submit the paper (it is your work or you have appropriate authorization)
- You are not submitting material that is defamatory, fraudulent, or in violation of any law
- You will use Reports for lawful purposes only
6. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your Submission. Generating a Report does not transfer any rights to Solonic.
Solonic owns the methodology, software, and Report format. You may use Report content for your own research and submission purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly publish Reports without our permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Solonic is not liable for:
- Any editorial decision made by a journal, publisher, or conference
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our service
- Losses resulting from reliance on Report content
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Report in question.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Reports are provided "as is." We make no warranty that our scoring methodology is perfect, that it will match any particular reviewer's judgment, or that following Report recommendations will result in publication.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
